The right candidate should be eager to learn, moldable. You will report to the Vice President of Development and will be his right hand. This a creative and very challenging roll. You will be constantly on your toes and if you like that then you’ll love this position.
You should be a process driven individual that can work with individuals from various departments. You must know architectural plans and how to read them as well as how the general design through entitlements through construction process works. Therefor I need a candidate that has experience in multifamily or hospitality construction with recent exposure to the development side of the business; either working for the developer or an owner/builder.
Major tasks include:
- Plan development from schematic design to construction drawings
- Manage and coordinate external consultants
- Permit submittal package, coordination with the city staff, and obtaining permits for construction
- Oversight during stages as Owners Representative. Responsible for the management of consultants and plan changes. Collaborate with the Director of Design on the management of quality control
- Ensure integrity of the Basis of Design and approved schematics
- Management of development schedules and budgets
Necessary Qualities/Attributes for this position:
- Construction/Architectural/Development background with a track record in project management
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents
- Assertive with the ability to confront with honesty without damaging relationships.
- Creative problem solver and strategic thinker
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments to meet deadlines efficiently and accurately
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Flexible and open-minded with a willingness to learn
Compensation:
Posted salary is just a range based on the experience level of candidates we will review for this position. 140-175K base plus performance bonuses.
