PRESIDENT or VICE PRESIDENT, title depends on experience, of Multifamily Construction. 

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: This position is the highest construction executive position in the company. The President/Vice President is charged with implementing the vision. They will formulate the company’s strategic planning to achieve the objectives of the business plan with the aim of maximizing return and minimizing risk for the company. This person is ultimately responsible for the overall performance of all construction projects and contracts. Our client is a Developer and Self Performing Builder of Multifamily properties in Southern California. Must be able to commute between LA, OC and San Diego Counties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
• Set up measurable standards of performance for each department (preconstruction, estimating, buyout, project management) , measure that performance against established goals.
• In conjunction with staff, establish companywide systems and procedures for reporting, project controls, financial controls, and employee relations.
• Display the highest level of organizational and communication skills.
• Must be thoroughly versed in the operations of a construction company, general contractor and design-build firm.
• Must have a solid background in operations and sales.
• Can clearly communicate the company’s status and direction to staff, owners and partners.
• Manage direct reports, including Annual Performance Reviews, periodic reviews of progress toward annual goals of any direct reports. Establishment of annual performance goals of any direct reports with Senior Project Manager.
• Must be able to train, instruct and mentor members of the team in various methods and techniques that will enhance the team and company performance.
