Their pipeline of projects include multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, and senior living, all with the long-term goal of owning and operating their developments.

The Family Office is evolving, with estate, tax, and cash planning becoming increasingly important. Their approach is patient, disciplined, and generational: they focus on sustainable growth and legacy over short-term wins. This is an inflection point, with major projects ahead and leadership committed to building the platform the right way for the long term.

Role Summary

( Confidential ) We are recruiting a hands-on finance leader to build the financial backbone of the operating company. This role partners directly with the CEO and the Controller to:

  •  Professionalize systems and reporting (Sage Intacct stabilization; close cadence; decision-ready reporting).
  • Establish treasury discipline (cash visibility across entities, 13-week cash forecast, sweeps, inter-company mechanics).
  • Improve planning (budget/forecast tied to pipeline; surface major costs and cash needs).

This is a builder role: strategic in outlook, executional in approach. Over time, the scope may expand into capital strategy, external relationships, and elements of family office finance. Nothing is promised however the opportunity grows with performance and company needs. The right candidate must be comfortable balancing big strategic initiatives with smaller executional tasks as nothing is above or beneath this role. 

Immediate Deliverables (First 90 Days)

  • Reporting pack v1: monthly cash, P&L, balance sheet; variance; commitments
  • Treasury toolkit: entity cash map + 13-week cash forecast; sweep policy; intercompany note templates.
  • Close discipline: close calendar; roles & responsibilities post-Intacct; SOPs/controls.
  • Forecast v1: budget/forecast linked to development pipeline; highlight near-term cost drivers.

Priorities (Sequenced)

    1. Professionalize finance/accounting systems & protocols (Intacct optimization, reporting cadence, controls).
    2. Unlock cash from existing assets (sweeps, intercompany structure, refinance/readvance options, liquidity policy).
    3. Capital readiness (board-quality reporting; partner/lender materials and data room foundation).

Scope of Role (Near-Term)

  • FP&A & Treasury: rolling cash forecast, debt schedule, covenant tracking, liquidity planning.
  • Systems & Process: own Intacct stabilization; ensure accurate data → decision-grade reporting; propose team design.
  • Planning & Analysis: annual budget; quarterly reforecast; project/portfolio analytics.
  • Controller Partnership: coordinate close, AR/AP, CAM/lease, audit/tax; translate numbers into insights for CEO/owners.

Future Scope as the Company Scales

  • Lead preparation for financings; support negotiations with banks/partners.
  • Shape long-term capital structure and investment pacing.
  • Where appropriate, support Family Office finance (estate/tax modeling coordination, investment reporting).

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years in real estate finance/development/PE.
  • Strong treasury + financing exposure (refi, lines, construction/permanent debt).
  • Proven systems/process builder (Intacct/Yardi/QBO) with track record professionalizing reporting.
  • Low-ego, sleeves-rolled operator; collaborative with Controller and staff; clear communicator to ownership/partners.
  • Entrepreneurial and adaptable, thrives in a lean environment.
